Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of learning media using wordwall applications on students' cognitive development in PAI learning. This research is motivated by monotonous learning. So that students do not understand the material or remember the material that has been given by the educator. For this reason, the use of learning media such as the use of wordwall applications is needed, so that learning is more innovative and can improve students' cognitive abilities and learning motivation. The method used in this study is to use a qualitative method in which data is collected through interviews or interviews with educators and literature studies by collecting a number of journals or books related to the problem and research objectives. This research was conducted at SMK Al Firdaus Banyuwangi. Research results using the wardwall application are effective in fostering motivation or interest in student learning so that it can increase the enjoyment of learning and the cognitive abilities of students in remembering material that has been taught by educators. In this study it can be concluded that this application is easy to use, and its flexible nature, which is not limited by space and time, can also be used when learning online. For this reason, the wardwall application itself has several free templates and an attractive appearance and is not monotonous so that it can foster students' motivation or interest in learning, and is effective in increasing students' cognitive abilities.
